Volunteer With Us

Since it's establishment in 1917, the Westerly Ambulance Corps has provided emergency medical services for the Westerly-Pawcatuck Area. We strive to remain primarily a volunteer organization, and  proud to serve the community of Westerly, Rhode Island & Stonington - Pawcatuck, CT community.

Age

All applicants of The Westerly Ambulance Corps must be age 18 or over.

Active Member Status

Active Members are placed on a 6-month probation period upon joining the Corps.  Members are responsible to sign up for at least one, 8-hour or two 4-hour on-call days per month, during which they are responsible for completing ambulance crews and performing other duties designated by the Command Staff. Following the probation period, active members are eligible to vote at regular business meetings and become trained as a driver of the ambulances.
