After more than 16 years of dedicated service to Westerly Ambulance, it is with great respect and gratitude that we celebrate the retirement of Captain Jeffrey Barker.

Since joining Westerly Ambulance on April 22, 2010, Captain Jeffrey Barker has devoted countless hours to serving our community and helping those in their most difficult moments. Through long shifts, challenging calls, and countless miles traveled, their commitment to patient care, teamwork, and the mission of Westerly Ambulance has never wavered.

Being a captain is about more than wearing a badge or holding a position of leadership. It is about setting an example, supporting your crew, sharing your experience, and being someone, others can count on when it matters most. Captain Barker has done all of that and much more.

The impact of those years of service cannot be measured simply by the number of calls answered or patients cared for. It can be seen in the lives touched, the coworkers mentored, the difficult moments made a little easier, and the lasting mark left on the Westerly Ambulance family.

As you begin this next chapter, we hope you take great pride in knowing that your dedication and service have made a difference. You have given so much of yourself to this organization and to the community, and you leave behind a legacy that will not be forgotten.
