Services

The Westerly Ambulance Corps provides a number of services to Westerly and the surrounding communities. Follow the links to the left for more information on each service.

NEW: Transport Services

Westerly Ambulance now offers ambulatory and wheelchair transport services. We have added a fully staffed wheelchair van to our fleet of vehicles.

Services include

-Home to doctors office
-Nursing facility to doctors
-Home to hospital (non-emergency)
-Discharge from hospital to nursing home
-Transportation to ambulatory care or same day services
-Dialysis

Wheelchair Van Fees

Base Rate: $35.00 one way transportation
Mileage:
-There is NO mileage charge for transports within the Town of Westerly.
-$1.75 per mile outside of Westerly.
-Subscription Membership does NOT cover wheelchair transport services.

Scheduling: (401) 596-2216

-Scheduling of wheelchair van transportation is done 24 hours in advance of the time for transport.
-Scheduling of wheelchair services must be made between 10am to 4pm Monday thru Friday.
-All other times you can leave a message and your call will be returned during normal business hours.

Payment

-Payment must be made before transport.
-We accept cash, check or credit card
-Payments can be made at time of scheduling or to the driver at pick-up.
NOTE: Medicaid Patients MUST contact EDS for scheduling. Just ask for Westerly
